Hi there!
My name’s Mike, and I’m the editor for Cardstore.com. Every once in a while, I’ll be dropping in just to let you know about some of the fun, new things that are happening on our site – and maybe even some things that aren’t new, but are definitely cool enough to be talked about. This week, I’d like to let you know about one of our artists that’s trying something completely new to them.
You might already be familiar with Found Image Press. They’ve got a huge library of vintage art that turns each card into a time machine. A lot of their cards are really sweet and nostalgic, but a lot of them are just plain quirky. Realizing that, they’ve decided to let some writers get “inspired” and write some really funny lines for the insides of their cards.
They’re on the site in plenty of time for Thanksgiving, and they’ve written to quite a few Christmas designs as well. The result is a SERIOUSLY funny combination of innocence and snark. Here’s a peek at the four they rewrote for Thanksgiving.
Got another idea? An inside joke? All of them are fully customizable on the inside, so you can add your own brilliant, laugh-inducing lines. (…and don’t worry, there’s still plenty of sweet nostalgia, if that’s more your speed).
Enjoy!
Mike

This Thanksgiving card makes me remember some of the more cozy Thanksgivings I’ve spent with family. I love the idea of sending a Thanksgiving wish to those you can’t spend the holidays with this season.
After spending this weekend harvesting buckets of walnuts, I’m definitely starting to get geared up for Thanksgiving. It’s always fun to add a nutty touch to your Thanksgiving decor and recipes, and nut-themed decor is sure to get Thanksgiving guests thinking of their favorite part of the meal–the pecan pie for dessert! Here’s a few ideas:

We’re getting closer to Thanksgiving day, (2 days! so close!) and I’m trying to come up with ways to show how thankful I am for who and what I have around me. I’m absolutely loving this Acorn Squirrel Thanks card designed by Driscoll Design because of it’s sweet and heartfelt design; what’s more endearing than adorable squirrels saying thanks? Here’s to hoping you have a happy, healthy, and thankful Thanksgiving holiday!
