Thank You Cards

Today is one of those days where I can’t seem to satisfy my caffeine craving. I can’t keep my eyes open! So, in honor of my inability to stay awake (or focus on anything but when my next cup of joe will be), here’s a coffee related inspiration board!

Take Two Tuesday: Fireworks!

by Vanessa on August 24, 2010

The fourth already seems so long ago, doesn’t it? What I wouldn’t give to go back to July right now!

When I saw this pretty display as part of Max & Margaux’s wedding a while back I immediately thought of this quaint Thank You Card from Tori Higa.  I love the idea of a cute display like this in a kitchen–so bright and fun!

Japanese Cherry Blossoms

by Vanessa on July 23, 2010

I have always thought Japanese Cherry Blossoms are the most beautiful blossoms out there. There is something about the subtle mix of pale pink and white, along with the brighter burst of color in the center, that gives this plant such a romantic feel. When I saw this Asian Blossom Box stationery, I was inspired to put images together that contained that faded, whimsical romance of the Cherry Blossoms. Hope you enjoy!

Frame Mania

by Allison on June 28, 2010

I love the look of masses of mismatched frames all crammed together on one wall.  It works best, I think, when the interiors of the frames vaguely match one another, like the collection of framed embroidery below.  After visiting the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin–which has the most beautiful maroon room stuffed from top to bottom with a huge array of portraits–I was inspired to create a similar wall, jam-packed with amateur portraits. I’m building my collection now, hunting in antique stores, flea markets and street fairs, and will be sure to eventually post the final result!
