Regardless of whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or Festivus, the holidays are a time of giving and receiving. And while days are filled to the brim with last minute shopping, holiday parties and shuttling the family from one relative’s house to the other, it’s still no time to forget your manners. Nothing can quite replace thank you cards for the lovely party your colleague hosted, or the exquisite bracelet with which your best friend surprised you. So to keep the daunting task of writing thank yous to a minimum, here’s a few tips to help you stay polite during the busy holiday season:
- Stock Up! Make sure you have plenty of stamps and thank you cards during the holiday season so you have no excuse not to send one.

- Plan Ahead! Before attending a family gathering that you know will involve presents or a holiday party, address and stamp the thank you cards before you go so you can quickly jot a thank you card as soon as you get home.

- Make it Memorable! Use Holiday Photo Thank You Cards to add a special photo to the front of the card, either of you and the gift giver or of you using/wearing the gift.

Just remember, as G.B. Stern said, “Silent gratitude isn’t much use to anyone.”
