Colorful Love

by Vanessa on February 11, 2011

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I often find myself sick of the overdone pink and red on hearts, flowers, and everything else in stores. Instead, I have been drawn towards romantic, flowery, and light colors that have me thinking of love and the promise of a warm spring. Inspired by this stunning Flower Dress Couple Love Card designed by Masha D’Yans, I’m dreaming up ways to incorporate such color and floral patterns into Valentine’s Day.

Take Two Tuesday: Tickle My Fancy

by Vanessa on September 28, 2010

I don’t think there’s anything cuter than an unexpected love note. We’re months away from Valentine’s Day, which makes any sweet declaration completely out of the blue and totally heart felt. I absolutely adore our Tickle My Fancy Love Card from Sam Posnick. He has created some of the cutest and most witty love cards… they’re too cool! And pairing that card with a photo of a real feather by Ryder Dschida just looks so romantic.

I know it’s August and it’s not raining much, at least in California, but I just fell in love with this sweet Love Hideaway Love Card designed by Tori Higa. The image of a couple hiding from the rain under an umbrella is so sweet, and when paired with this real-life picture from Style Me Pretty, it just doesn’t get much better or cuter!

Typewriter Charm

by Allison on June 30, 2010

I love the instant old world charm a typewriter brings to any room. The subtle gesture toward days gone by creates a an at once romantic and wistful vibe, an ideal quality for any room.  I dream of having the perfect home office–a heavy dark wooden desk, a couple of simple mason jars filled with pens and pencils, a stack of books, a small vase filled with zinnias, and, of course, a vintage typewriter.  However, I can’t ever seem to find the right one, and instead have amassed a variety of typewriter-related items–a typewriter frame, typewriter jewelry, typewriter stationery, the list goes on. . . I doubt I will quench my thirst for typewriter paraphernalia until I find that perfect one!
