I’ve been feverishly trying to come up with a new theme for our annual Halloween party, and was drawing a blank for quite some time. Earlier this week though, I realized how fun it would be to do a dark, devil themed party with lots of gothic and spooky decorations. Based on this Devil Halloween Cocktails Party Invitation from february 13 creative, I’ll be making sure the party has plenty of blood-red details! Can’t wait to decorate!

It may still be mid-October, but I’m already thinking about planning a Halloween Party. After the annual stop at the pumpkin patch and grabbing some decorations at Target, I’ll finally be able to start decorating. Now all I need to do is figure out what to dress up as!

With Halloween just around the corner, I’ve been loving the plethora of orange in store and home decorations. And while I don’t particularly like the taste of candy corn myself, I love the color as a design inspiration! Based on this Orange Plaid Photo Halloween Card from designer february 13 creative, here’s an inspiration board filled with candy corn details I can’t wait to use!

Nothing calls in autumn like the introduction of seasonal foods and drinks at all of my favorite shops. The one I look forward to most every year is the Pumpkin Patch Truffle from Godiva, second only to a peppermint latte. Anyone can go in for a free sample or take advantage of the 20% off discount on all seasonal goodies this week at Godiva.com!
Pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins! I can’t get them off my mind–they’re the only kind of baked good I eat lately, I average a minimum of 3 pumpkin spice lattes a week at this point, my room is stuffed with tiny gourds. I’m crazy about them. Now I’m just anxiously biding my time until I can begin carving my pumpkins. Check out the rest of the Martha Stewart Pumpkin slideshow I’ve linked to below for some absolutely amazing pumpkin-crazy ideas.

Whether throwing a Halloween party for friends or bringing treats in for your son or daughter’s class, these adorable Halloween cookies from Williams-Sonoma are the perfect treat to entertain. Not only will they delight with their spicy seasonal flavors, but also with their fun shapes and bright colors.
Okay, okay, I know–it’s still September. But trust me, I couldn’t hold back any longer! Halloween is one of my absolute favorite holidays, and it requires a lot of planning! So, I figured we might as well start with the inspiration part early. I love this elegant twist on the standard campy Halloween decor (not that I don’t full on endorse campy during Halloween!). I can’t wait to get started on my entry way, and the rest of my Halloween decorations.

Who knew there was an official day to celebrate the sugary-sweet candy that comes around only once a year? This fun autumnal treat originated in the 1880s and has become a Halloween favorite. The sweet kernels are fat-free and the amount eaten each year could circle the moon 4 times! So celebrate the day by indulging in the sugary snack, enjoying a Candy Corn cocktail or go the sugar-free route and send this adorable Zelda Wisdom Candy Corn greeting card to a friend.
As a child, my brothers and I loved making shadow puppets. While we only really mastered simple things like dogs and bunnies, the creatives over at Orange Moon Toy’s shop have taken shadow puppetry to a whole new level with their handmade artisan toys. From ghosts and goblins to witches and pumpkins, these are sure to keep kids entertained for hours. And they offer dinosaurs, marine life and other non-Halloween creatures perfect for after Oct. 31st (or for the ‘fraidy cats out there who might not appreciate their walls being filled with scary creatures). Happy Shadow Puppet-ing!
