The Peeps Showcase

by Tasha on April 2, 2010

The Washington Post did it again! For their fourth annual Peeps Diorama Contest, 1,100-plus entries submitted three-dimensional essays on the state of the nation’s collective consciousness. Contenders used their marshmallow mediums to showcase everything from the legacy of Michael Jackson to the victory of Olympic gold medalist Shaun White. Other dioramas depicted the recent Tiger Woods controversy and the ‘Balloon Boy’ hoax.  After intense deliberation, the magazine staff finally selected Michael Chirlin and Veronica Ettle’s diorama which was based on the Pixar film, “Up.” For more photos of the dioramas, click here. Enjoy and Happy Easter!
