Designing Moms

Artist Tori Higa wrote the neatest entry on one of our favorite blogs, Designing Moms, today. She gave readers a glimpse into her creative process by opening up her sketchbooks. It’s fascinating to see her lovely designs on their way to becoming stylish greeting cards.  I was thrilled to see the sketches of one of her designs featured in her Cardstore.com collection (and personally one of my favorites) highlighted in the article!

What’s In Your Bag?

by Tiffany on September 25, 2009

Maybe it’s the nosy-nelly in me, but I’m always curious to see what people carry in their bags.  I feel a peek into someone’s purse is almost a window into their soul (or at least their daily routine).  So I was thrilled when I saw Delphine artist Erika Firm’s day bag profiled in today’s Designing Moms entry (click here to see what’s inside her bag).  Being ‘creative, cool’ Erika, the inside of her bag is as stylish and colorful as the outside, and it contains quite a few items that have just been added to my wish list (including her adorable Orla Liely wallet).  She had better be careful next time she visits the Cardstore.com office with that bag, as it might just magically walk off and find itself a new home!

It’s a Wrap

by Tiffany on August 19, 2009

I am a big fan of bringing lunch to work, but I hate using plastic baggies as they’re not a very green product.  I’ve tried to use tupperware as much as possible, however sandwiches are a tight squeeze in even my flattest containers.  But Liberty at Designing Moms wrote about a practical, not to mention stylish, eco-friendly solution.  She has been using Wrap-N-Mats and is a huge fan!  The line offers reusable sandwich wrappers and snack pouches that are easy to wash and come in cool patterns that will appeal to kids and adults.  What a perfect find during the back to school season!

The Designing Moms blog is starting the week off right with a special stationery giveaway.  Two lucky winners will receive 25 personalized Delphine thank you cards in the design of their choice.  Entering the contest is easy, just visit Designing Moms and leave a comment noting your favorite Delphine design.  Be sure to visit soon, the contest ends on Friday!
