These St. Patrick’s Day recipes and activities are sure to give you just the luck you need–so throw on your green, grab the kids, and indulge!
Make Shamrock Boutonnieres. Legend says that St. Patrick, a fifth-century Christian missionary, used a three-leaf clover to explain the Trinity and the shamrock later became the Irish national emblem. Make your very own paper craft shamrock here.

Bake Shamrock Cupcakes. What’s a better way to ensure that you have a lucky day than with sweets?

Cook Corned Beef with Vegetables. Corned beef and cabbage with turnips, carrots, and boiled potatoes is a traditional Irish meal. It is especially good with freshly baked Irish soda bread.
Grow your own Shamrocks. Yes, it’s fun to make Shamrock art projects–but it’s even better to grow the real thing.

Celebrate at a parade. Find the nearest St. Patrick’s Day event for you and your family.

Ever since Buzz Light Year and the Iron Giant warmed kids’ hearts years ago, kids have developed a growing fascination in these cute automatons. That’s why I instantly fell in love with this Robot Party theme from Hostess with the Mostess. And it was only right that I put a Cardstyle twist on this fabulous party idea. So I gathered a few robot-themed activities and accessories as an inspiration for your kid’s next birthday party.
Robot Costume Contest. Provide cardboard boxes with holes cut out for the arms and the head, have square cut-outs of construction paper ready to glue to the sides of the box, and have buttons and other accessories for the kids to design their unique costumes.
