For the past week and a half, all I’ve been craving has been corn, corn, corn. I’ve eating black bean and corn salads, corn on the cob, and have tried to put corn on everything, but I just want more, more, more! There’s something about summer and corn that go so perfectly hand in hand, and I can’t help myself but to want it 24/7. Besides eating more corn, which I plan on doing for the rest of the summer, I thought I’d focus on the fun and colorful aspect of corn for this inspiration board. Working off of a Yellow Stalk Party Photo Birthday Invitation designed by Persnickety Pear, I’ve compiled some images that remind me of the sweet, bright aspects of corn. And I hope that whole ode to corn wasn’t too corny! (I couldn’t help but to throw that in there!)

When giving a gift, I always try to spice the wrapping up in some fun, unique way. I’ve tried twine, bows, newspaper, even duct tape, but I’ve never been totally satisfied with the final product. On top of that, I hate that all the paper just gets thrown away. When I found this fabric gift wrap from the cool store Chewing the Cud, I knew this was what I had been looking for. As we enter the dog days of summer, I find I crave ice cream 24/7. When I came upon this article from The New York Times, my craving got even worse with the yummy-looking picture. So, while chowing down on a perfectly cold ice cream cone, I came up with these images for an ice cream inspiration board. With such bright colors in ice cream, and the kid-friendly feel, there are so many ideas ice cream can provide for clothes, parties, jewelry, decor, and more!
