Sending Hope To Hubby

by Julie on September 4, 2009

I sent my HOPE greeting card to my hubby of almost 10 years.  I chose the Penguin Love card, one of my favorites, and personalized it with a special message just for him.  Sometimes amidst all the craziness of work and life with three little kids, I forget to tell him just how much he means to me so today I took the time to put those feelings into words.  I hope he loves it!

zoo thanks; Thank You Cards Teach Good MannersThe hand-written thank you note is truly a lost art in today’s modern era of emails and text messages. But there is nothing quite as special as a thank you card that includes a personal, hand-written note. I decided recently to start my children off on the right foot by ordering them these adorable personalized thank you cards from Cardstore.com. They love seeing their names in print on the front of the cards and it encourages them to add a personal touch inside the card. For my 7 year-old that’s a full hand-written thank you, my 5 year-old includes his name after my written note and my 3 year-old adds her own special mark with some xxx’s and ooo’s. Family and friends have been so delighted to receive them that it definitely makes the effort worthwhile!

Recipes Made Personal

While shopping for a bridal shower gift recently, I ran across this fantastic website, TasteBook.com. And since I love anything personalized, this ‘create your own cookbook’ site instantly appealed to me. You can choose the cover design and title for your cookbook and then fill it with recipes from top recipe sites including Epicurious, Better Homes and Gardens, and Sunset.

But even more exciting is that you can also create pages for your own personal recipes to make a truly custom and unique gift. The final touch is a personalized dedication page to your loved one. Perfect for any Mom who wants to hand down her favorite family recipes to her daughter!

The Perfect Hostess Gift

by Julie on July 21, 2009

With summer in full swing, it seems that there’s a never-ending stream of get togethers and parties taking place. And it’s probably no secret that a bottle of wine is one of the most popular hostess gifts among party-goers. But if you’re looking for a way to stand out from the crowd then consider presenting your wine in one of these brightly colored, insulated bottle totes. Made from the same material as wetsuits, these fun totes will keep a bottle of wine chilled for hours. And be sure to follow up after the party by sending your hostess a personalized thank you note – after all, nice manners are always appreciated!wine tote; The Perfect Hostess Gift

It’s A Zoo Out There!

by Julie on July 14, 2009

While searching for a unique new baby gift recently, I ran across these adorable plush friends from a company called Zoochini. They are the perfect play mates for little ones and come in a wide variety. Each animal has a really cute name like Elsie the Elephant, Ollie the Octopus and Casey the Cow – I bought Jilly the Giraffe for a new baby girl.

I paired my gift with this lovely baby congratulations card from Cardstore.com featuring soft colors and a Noah’s ark theme – the perfect companion to Jilly!
