Tell us 5 quick things about yourself
I’m a mom, wife, designer, photographer & coffee-lover.

What do you do at Cardstore?
I started out as a card designer, but now I’m an art director, which basically means I go to meetings all day. Just kidding — I get to do a ton of amazing things, like help to create a lot of cards and write for this awesome blog!

Have you always wanted to be a designer?
Weirdly enough, I was a business student when I started college, then switched to a child psychology major, and finally ended up in the design program. I’m not sure why it took me so long to figure out that I was meant to be a designer. I used to love scrapbooking, my favorite Nintendo game was Mario Paint, and I even designed websites for fun in middle school.

What does life outside of work look like?
I spend most of my time with my husband, Brandon, and our 2-year-old son, Carter. I also work part-time as a child & family photographer. I sort of eat, sleep and breathe photography, so I have a ton of photo tips up my sleeve that I can’t wait to share with you!

Tell us more about Carter.
Carter is just so funny. He cracks me up more than I realized a kid could at 2 years old. These things come out of his mouth that I should probably be mad about, but I can’t help but laugh. The other day, he wanted me to hurry up and said, “Chop, chop, Mama!” Where did he even learn that?!

You have a lot going on! How do you stay organized?
I make spreadsheets for pretty much everything in life. Once I created a spreadsheet of all the things we buy at the grocery store, listed by aisle, to make my grocery store trips more efficient. I’m not particularly proud of that… but, then again, I kinda am.

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
Coffee! I have a serious obsession with coffee. In fact, Amazon regularly delivers a huge box that resembles a Jumbo 250-mega-pack of diapers to my doorstep. But it’s not diapers — it’s a bulk supply of tiny Keurig K-cups that I get as a monthly subscription. Seriously, I LOVE me some coffee.

Ok, how about one last random fact…
Well, it’s probably worth noting that I use a lot of really exaggerated words. My husband says that I can’t just say, “I had a good day.” I have to say something like, “Oh my gosh, I had the best day of my life. Ever. Seriously. It was amazing.”

I just found this website and I’m really keen to try making my own cards! I must know, though – what font is it that is used on the website? The one used in 30% off in this image: https://ak.imgag.com/imgag/product/siteassets/general/3344218/image.jpg I love it so much and need a copy of it for myself!

  2. Hi there! Isn’t that font fun? It’s called Slim Tony. Hope that helps!
    Thanks for stopping by :)

Hi Emily, I am wondering if you can help. Last year I went to the store to buy a Mother’s Day Card and found a card with a photo that looks just like my grand daughter. She’s six years old and she wonders how the little girl can look so much like her. It isn’t her, but the likeness is amazing. The card I am referring to is the one that says, “Mom, you made me what I am today….perfect in every way. Happy Mother’s Day! The resemblance is striking, so much so, that her parents thought it was our “Allie.” Can I send you a picture of her? Thank you, M. Price, Virginia

I forgot to mention an important fact…the card is by PAPYRUS.

      • Hi there! We’d love to be able to help you find the card you’re looking for – however, the Cardstore Blog team can only provide information on cards found on Cardstore.com. Cardstore doesn’t sell any cards in retail stores. Sorry we can’t be of help! -Jessica
