Fall invitations – An inside look at the making of this year’s card line {show & tell}

Fall invitations - An inside look at the making of this year’s card line {show & tell} | Cardstore Blog

Here at Cardstore, one designer is usually in charge of an entire collection of cards. This helps us make sure our offering has everything we think it should have, and really challenges us to make sure we cover a variety of styles, and satisfy consumer needs. This year, I had so much fun designing our fall invitations, and I’m excited to share them with you!

I was really inspired by several trends for this season; mainly mason jars, rustic weddings, and Aztec patterns. These styles tend to have a casual feel, so I also made sure to include a simple, clean design that feels a little more sophisticated. On top of that, I got to try out a couple different hand-lettering styles and work with two very talented people – Kathleen Marcotte, on our “get cozy” invite,’ and Dan Liuzzi, on those super-cute, glowing  jar-lights.

A little peek at me working on lettering for these invites!

I hope you enjoy these designs as much as I enjoyed making them – they almost make me want summer to be over just so I can throw a fall party…
