As a busy mom, I love a message board that can act as a command center—somewhere to write messages and reminders, hold on to important receipts and mail, and display a few recent photos.
This DIY message board came together quickly and turned out so cute. It’s a lot better than the pile of random paperwork I had sitting on my kitchen counter before!
What you’ll need:
- A thin piece of plywood (mine was 12” x 24”)
- Chalkboard paint
- Bulldog Clips
- Spray paint
- 2 – 4 Corkboard squares (mine were 6” x 6”)
- Nails or Command Strips
Paint your plywood with chalkboard paint. Let dry completely.
With the spray paint, paint your bulldog clips. You’ll probably need several coats—let dry completely between each coat.
When the plywood and bulldog clips are dry, glue the corkboard squares and bulldog clips on to the board in whatever arrangement you’d like.
I used two corkboard squares and 4 bulldog clips to leave room at the bottom for writing chalkboard notes.
Hang on the wall with command strips or just nail it straight into the wall. And of course, enjoy your handiwork that’s both cute and functional!
