Celebrating Black History Month (with a free printable quote!)

Happy Black History Month, everyone!

I love history. Like REALLY love it. It’s entirely too easy for me to stay up past my bedtime, caught in a documentary or book. I’m currently knee-deep in The Warmth of Other Suns, about the Great Migration, and I think it’s always great to learn more about the contributions of African-Americans. So much of it was accomplished in the face of real adversity, and during this time of year, it’s important to me to do something special to honor their achievements.

I came across these fabulous words by Harriet Tubman, and I liked the quote so much that I turned it into a free printable to share with you.

Harriet Tubman bravely and tirelessly escorted more than 300 people out of slavery on the Underground Railroad. You can read more about her here.

I hope these words bring as much inspiration to you as they did for me.
